Velocity Visitor

My RAK this week went to Cherie & her husband who came to visit us for dinner this weekend. I was very excited to RAK them because Cherie had actually gone out of her way to personally deliver some Velocity Performance paperwork to me a few weeks back, and I was happy to be able to thank her in person. I stopped by to see how their dinner was going and they began to tell me how they had not been to CJ’s in quite some time but that they were very happy they decided to come in for dinner because everything was fantastic! From the food to the service, everything was perfection! I let them know that dinner was on us and they were so thankful! They can’t wait to pay it forward!

Rescue Dog

Had a couple sitting on the Terrace today with their dog Max. Got to talking to the owners of Max a little bit, and found out Max was in fact a rescued dog from a shelter. They explained to me that they had fallen in love with him the second they saw him and saved him from a shelter. He was a very well behaved dog and enjoyed our cheese and bacon bites. They were very happy when I told them that we were buying their lunch as well as Max’s lunch. Gave them a Pay It Forward and told them to come back to enjoy the Terrace again soon.

Purple Heart

Had a gentleman come in tonight with his Vietnam Purple Heart Hat. I shook his hand and thanked him for his service. Throughout their meal I was able to visit a little more and found out he is still very involved with the VFW as well at the Legion  in the Manchester area. He is still doing great things for others, and helping those in our community. I bought he and his wife their lunches and gave them a Pay It Forward to give someone else. I was very proud to buy this man his lunch today.

Late Night Date Night

Last night I had a nice couple in for a late night dinner around 9:30 and I thought they would be a perfect candidate for Random Act of Kindness. Instead of me approaching the guest, I asked if the bartender Amanda could approach them, thinking it would be great to surprise them. They were so thrilled to have their food on the house that they took a picture of the bartenders and said they were going to post it on T-BONES Facebook. The stayed for a bit longer and got another round of drinks and enjoyed their night out together. They informed Amanda they were happy to Pay It Forward!

Military Thanks

Today there was a young couple joining us for lunch who asked if we offered a military discount. We told them that we do, and explained how it works on Tuesdays. They said that was great, but can only get up to our area on weekends. They understood and thanked us for the program. I decided to hook them up with a certificate for the next weekend available they had to come up, and even if we couldn’t get the discount for today, we could definitely take care of them for the next time.

Hooking Up a Fellow Server

One of my servers, Meaghan Grant, came to me with a great RAK story. Here it is: “On Wednesday night a lady named Renita, who frequents T-BONES quite often, came in with her sister after their shift at Bertucci’s. I asked how their day was and Renita told me that at some point during the day she put her book down with all her money in it and unfortunately it never came up. She was bummed about it but said she was trying to forget about it and move on with her day. I told her how sorry I was to hear that and I hate when bad things happen to good people. Renita is always very positive and is always quick to give me a big excited hug when she sees me. She’s quite the ray of sunshine. I felt that she was worthy of a RAK, and when I told her that their food was on us and what the RAK was for, she was fighting back tears and couldn’t thank me enough for doing something so nice. She was a very deserving candidate and it definitely made for a better ending to her not so great day.” Great job, Meaghan!

Teaching the Young to be Kindhearted

I was walking through the Dining Room where a young family were sitting.  The parents and their three kids were engaged in a great story. I stopped and decided I was going to give them a Random Act of Kindness. I approached the table and started to explain the Random Act of Kindness as the children all sat there listening to every word I said. They were very excited to be able to go out and find someone that they could give the $25.oo gift certificate to. I told them to have fun and the parents were more excited that they got $25.00 to come back again. Happy all around!
