I have a guest that comes in fairly infrequently, but it is a neighbor of ours. She is often seen walking around in the area. Some people had made comments of her perhaps being homeless, but I have spoken with her several times and she actually lives with her niece down the street. She is friendly, quiet and maybe a little lonely. She came in tonight and ordered a Veggie burger. I decided to RAK her. It was definitely one of the ones that made me smile, as i don’t think she has very much.
Happy 21st
I met a young lady today named Jackie. It was her 21st Birthday, and she came in for lunch with her mother, and her boyfriends mother and sister. I took up the tab ( minus the alcohol of course) and the entire table was very impressed.
Out of town’ers
Tonight a server, Jenny, approached me about her table that was from out of town. They were already planning on returning this week before they returned home to visit Jenny again. They were very impressed with our restaurant and glad they chose us during their stay so we decided to impress them more by RAKing them. They thought our PAY IT FORWARD program was wonderful and was looking forward to giving someone a random act of kindness themselves.
Sweetest Regular
We have a regular who comes in almost every day for lunch. She always gets the same thing and is always so sweet to all the servers. She is always smiling and friendly whenever she comes in. Today, she forgot her credit card at home. This made her upset as she never does that. She’s always so nice to all of us here that I decided to do something nice for her. I bought her lunch and told her it was always a pleasure to see her, as she is always smiling and making everyone in the lounge smile as well. I gave her a Pay It Forward and told her to give it to someone else and make them smile. She was super thankful.
1st GrandParents Day!
I had a party of 4 tonight. Every time I walked by the table a little baby about 8 months old would wave to me with the biggest smile. She was so happy throughout their entire meals. I spoke with the party several times about how happy and adorable she was. The older couple said they were in for Grandparents day and it was their first grandchild. I decided to RAK them, since they were already receiving a 25% discount, I wanted to hook them up for their next visit. I gave them a $25 GC and the pay it forward certificate. They were laughing saying it pays to have a cute granddaughter.
Mother Son Bonding
Had a mother and son come in tonight. Thought it was great to see a mother son bonding date night. Talked to them for a bit and learned they waited quite a while to be sat. Wanted to do something nice for their patience and the fact they were super cool and so nice. Took off their burgers which they said were the best burgers they’ve ever had. Gave them a Pay it Forward to let us show someone else how awesome our food and service are. They were super happy and excited to be my Random Act of Kindness.

I had guest come in tonight and it was their first time ever here at t-bones. I decided to RAK these guest because I wanted to show them what T-bones is about and we are about paying it forward. They are beyond excited to come back again!
Long way to go for a t-shirt
Party of 6 joined us for lunch yesterday and when they finished, one man stopped by the host desk to inquire about seeing our t-shirt offerings. When I went to clarify, he said he really liked the design of ours and wanted one for his own. I managed to snag the last XL shirt we had for him and went back to the host desk, he was gone. I found him outside taking pictures with his family. I said now he had to take one with his new shirt, but he said, no, I first have to pay for it. That’s when I told him nope, it was a gift from T-Bones. He wasn’t sure about that at first, but I reassured him that it was indeed with our compliments. I found out his name is Mark and he travels from California to visit family once a year, and when he visits, he always wants to come here. Which isn’t an issue for his family, who are regulars. He was impressed with the gesture and thanked me profusely.
Feels Like Family
Had a regular come in today with her friend but not her husband. She informed Gloria that her husband had passed and that was why she had not been in for about a month. I went over and talked with her for a little while and she explained that she could not come in since his passing as it just did not feel the same without him. We chatted for a little while and she could not believe the number of servers who came over to say hello and give her a hug. She said she loves that we all care so much, and I explained it is because we treat our guests like family here, and that we want her to feel loved when she comes in to visit us. I bought her lunch and gave her a pay it forward to give to someone else. She could not stop thanking me.
I’m a big boy now
The other day we had a young gentleman by the name of Callen who was very proud to tell me that while at the restaurant, he went to the bathroom all by himself. This was a very proud moment. So I hooked him up with a certificate to take his mom and little sister out to lunch again. He was very excited judging from the happy expression on his face.
