MY RAK tonight went to a couple of regulars of ours. They were gracious enough to give their table to an older couple that were behind them in the rotation. How SWEET is that!! Jen and Jon come visit our bar Crew at least once a week! Jen said we are their “Favorite” place, and they were in no rush, so why not!!! They were shocked when I gave them a GC for the next time they come in, and one to pass on!! It always feels great to make someones day!! #RAK #GNHR #COPPERDOOR #LOVE

We had a party of 6 tonight with a lady celebrating her 40th with us-so I made a $41 Gift Certificate-40 for her 40th and one for good luck 🙂  We had fun reminiscing about the good ‘ol days when we were young.

A lovely lady named Jordan was in celebrating her birthday with her husband and some friends. Towards the end of their visit Emily came to me to see if the women could purchase one of our hot Tea Forte cups. I packaged the Tea Forte Cup with an assortment of Teas and delivered it to the table. I explained to her all about the RAK and how I wanted to make her birthday a little extra special by gifting her the Tea Forte set. She was so blown away by the kind gesture that it brought tears to her eyes. She was so appreciative and is looking forward to paying it forward. 🙂

A couple dined with us on Thursday night to celebrate that their 11 year old son is thankfully in remission from Leukemia! God is good 🙂 Marsha and I sent them on their way with a generous gift card to come back and celebrate with the entire family!

One of our regulars, Joe, recently lost his father. He decided to take his elderly mother out for dinner at the Copper Door. She has been very sad and lonely so he wanted to make it special. As soon as we heard the news, we wanted to help in anyway we could. We did a RAK on him this evening. We bought their entire dinner and gave them a gift card to come back. They were both touched and it brought a smile to their face. They both hugged me and are going to find someone to pass on the Random Act of Kindness.

We had a family of five come in for lunch because they LOVEEE the Tea Forte. The Mom raved to Alyssa about how much they love the tea and thats why they keep coming back. They asked Alyssa where they might be able to purchase a set of there own. Alyssa then came to me and we both decided to choose them for a RAK. I set up a whole package with two tea pitchers, two of each flavor tea we carry, even the little trays to put the tea bags on. When we presented them to her she was almost in tears. We definitely made her day! 🙂

Surprise Baby Announcement

We had a party of 4 in, a young couple celebrating their one year anniversary, along with their in-laws.   The young couple also were surprising her parents with the news that they were expecting their first child.  We pretended she was drinking vodka and tonics because that we be the norm, but they were just tonic waters.  We brought a cupcake and created a special plaque with a message about the baby’s arrival!  I gave them a GC to come on back for a date night once the baby is born and of course, they were thrilled about the PIF certificate!

A regular couple were in the other day with another couple I didn’t recognize, so when I stopped by to say hi, we got into conversation.  They told me, Judy (new guest), was having a rough time lately so they wanted to take her out to lunch and spend time together.  It turns out she had just lost her father and her dog was sick and she had to make the decision to put him down…I went back to the table with a generous GC and the RAK certificate, and when I explained it all she burst into happy tears and got up and gave me a big hug-it was AWESOME!  Love doing these..

Nancy came and told me about a possible RAK candidate. It was an older lady who had been celebrating 2 years cancer free. I thought it was a perfect opportunity to do something kind for her. Nancy and I went over to the table and explained the Random Act Of Kindness. We bought her desserts and gave her a 100$ gift card for her next visit. We also gave her the  25$ RAK certificate to give away to a random stranger. The lady was so taken back she was in tears. She was also celebrating her hair growing back. It made her night and it made Nancy and I extremely happy to be able to do something nice for her. She said she will be back again soon!
