Missed the Party

I had spoke to a gentleman named Don that was hosting a surprise birthday party (does it every year) for his wife. He explained that he wasn’t sure how many people were going to show up, but it would be roughly 10. The dinner party went great, however I found out on my shift the next day that one couple had missed the party and came into T-BONES on the wrong night! I sat down and spoke to them for a bit, and thanked them for still deciding to stay and dine with us. I surprised them with dinner on us, and they were so appreciative. They love T-BONES and we’re happy that we made their night special for them, even when they had all intentions to share a special night for someone else!

Paying It Forward More Than Once

Tonight there was more than one random act of kindness that went on. This couple had sat down and asked for the manager immediately. The woman had explained to me that every year she buys gift cards and asks the manager to give them to families inside the restaurant. She gave me 4 $20 gift cards to give away, in return i RAKed them and they thought it was so awesome. All of the families that got the gift cards were also grateful. 🙂

Woman’s Best Friend

Tonight I took care of Sandy who is one of our regular guests who usually comes in with her husband and her dog (service dog).  Unfortunately her dog passed away just a couple of days ago and her husband is away with family in S.C.  We took care of her meal and she was brought to tears.  She (her dog) was her best friend for the last 10 years.

Rest and Ham Dinner

Here at Hudson T-bones like us all we have our regular’s. Today I had Mike who comes in around 5 times a week. He wasn’t feeling well but felt like he should eat. On Sundays we run ham dinner and along with everyone else in the world Mike loves ham. I packed him a ham dinner to go with some chicken noodle soup with hopes that with rest, chicken soup and the love from a ham dinner he would begin to feel better. He was very appreciated and can’t wait to pay it forward…
