Today’s RAK went to Barbara and George. They are in 2 or 3 times a week and always making us laugh … Just found out they are going to be Grandparents again. I bought their dinner and they can’t wait to Pay it Forward!

We love to Pay it Forward here at T-BONES, Cactus Jacks, and Copper Door and Random Acts of Kindness have always been part of our company's culture. In 2015 we decided to bring our love of these random acts up another notch…and have been surprising guests with free desserts, free appetizers, free meals and other cool surprises at all our locations almost daily! It does not stop there; each recipient is then given a $25 Pay It Forward dining certificate to present to a random person to keep the momentum going. We love doing this so much that we’ve dedicated an entire website to the stories and memories we’ve created and are creating everyday…Enjoy!

My RAK for today went to a couple who was engaged. She was going to meet his family for the first time and the wedding is on Saturday. She was so nervous. I bought the couple dinner and they thought it was the nicest thing.

Mr. and Mrs. Gallant came in tonight, not only for Mrs. Gallant’s birthday, but they drove over an hour just to celebrate with US! Mike Keefe, their server, shared this news with me and I thought, what a great way to Pay It Forward! Mrs. Gallant was moved to tears and more than grateful!

RAK tonight went to Dave. Dave orders take-out every night from us on his way home from taking care of his mother who is unfortunately in hospice up the street. He is always upbeat, and wants to talk Sox whenever he sees me, so this was an obvious choice for me. Dave was very happy, and he and his wife Barbara can’t wait to Pay it Forward to his mom’s nurse. Recent dental procedure prevented me from a pic, but his smile said it all.

Our Random Act of Kindness went to this fine couple celebrating their engagement. They were speechless and much more excited than the picture looks. Later on in the day Felicia came over asking who I gave my RAK out to and showed me a screen shot from her Facebook. Glad to see its catching on.

Since I didn’t get to do one Tuesday night (way busy!!), I did a two-fer tonight which turned out really well. I had a older couple sitting on the same side of the table, which struck me as cute and lovey-dovey. It turns out they were celebrating their 49th anniversary-yay! I had another table of 3 young ladies all dressed up, 1 with downs syndrome. Turns out they were celebrating both her 18th birthday and graduating from high school. She was very excited and can’t wait to give the certificate out!

Early in the shift, Johnny informed me he had some first time guests at his table and suggested they RAK for the day. After explaining Pay It Forward, I let them know their lunches were on the house today and presented them with a GC so they could come back again soon. They were sweet and really appreciative of the random act and were also excited to Pay it Forward.

These 2 gentlemen, Donald and Srini, came if for lunch both wearing almost the same color purple shirt and I figured, that was random enough for me. They were here to conduct a brief business luncheon and when I told them they wouldn’t need their business credit card because I picked up the tab, they were impressed and said to their server upon departure, “That was completely unexpected.” Srini won the honors of delivering the Pay It Forward GC.

One of our favorite late night guests was our RAK tonight. Patrick actually works for another restaurant, but comes to visit here to wind down after his shift. He is one of the kindest guests that we have here in Hudson and it is always a pleasure to see him come in. Loved being able to do something kind for him in return. I have no doubt that Paying It Forward will come very easily to him.

This is Charlie and his granddaughter. Charlie has been coming here for years and is a craftsman with wood. He regularly makes these little plaques for the staff and managers. Today he gave a Patriots plaque to Tessa our server. Not only that, he had a Minnie Mouse plaque that he gave to another table where a 4 y/o girl was eating. She was VERY excited to get it. Thought it was perfect to Pay it Forward to Charlie. I gave him a gift certificate for his next visit. What a GREAT guy!
