All Dogs Go To Heaven

Tonight’s RAK went to a couple dining at the bar who unfortunately shared some sad news with us…there 12 year old pup, Moose, was laid to rest today. Although taking care of their dinner can’t bring back their dog, it sure did put a smile on their faces and they were very appreciative. #RIPMoose

Lifting their “Spirits”!

Rachel and Kyle should have been in Florida this weekend for a getaway.  Unfortunately due to some delays with their Airlines – they were unable to get where they were supposed to go this weekend!   They came in for dinner tonight – just as I was leaving.  I thought what better way to lift them up then to take care of them tonight.  I only stopped for a brief moment to say dinner was on us!  Each were amazed by the gesture – but it’s our little way of recognizing others.  The service they got from (un-named airline 😉 ) can not be matched with what we give at GNHR.  Enjoy your night Rachel and Kyle – you’ll get to Florida again soon!

This afternoon we had a party of six join us for lunch. When they first sat, the women at the table mentioned that they were still waiting for their parents to arrive. They asked Sixto to play along with some jokes they wanted to play on them, and of course, he agreed. After lots of laughs, Sixto and I decided to make their day even better by taking care of their appetizers as well as hooking their parents with a gift certificate to join us again. They were so appreciative and couldn’t say enough great things about Cactus Jack’s & how wonderful Sixto was.

Had an elder couple that came in tonight and sat in the dining room. Gloria (host) pulled me aside and told me that when they came in the husband explained that they were supposed to be at the copper door with reservation but he got a little lost and decided to come here instead.  After, Gloria called the Copper Door to have them take the couple off of the list and they let her know the couple was supposed to be celebrating their anniversary. This was perfect in my mind to do a RAK! So when they ordered dessert, Liz(server) brought it out on a plate that I wrote “Happy Anniversary” in chocolate on! After they were done with everything I went over and explained that I wanted to make their night a little more special and pick up their tab. They were so appreciative and was very impressed that they get to pay it forward too.

The other day I had a mom and her daughter in our dinning room, at one point during their lunch I saw the mother running out the door with her child. At first I was scared something was wrong with her daughter but come to find out she was being a good citizen. This mother ran all the way out side, child on hip to just bring another guest something they had just forgotten at their table. How could I ignore this? I COUlDN’T! A few moments later i presented her with a $25.00 GC for her next visit and $25.00 RAK for her to give to someone else… Needless to say she was very very happy!

Lots of Love!

The other night we had an elderly couple out celebrating their 51st wedding anniversary. As they put it, its not milestone, but each year is special in its own way. The funny part was three tables around them tried to buy their dinner before we did! I couldn’t help but smile and laugh by the third attempt. We decided to go a little above and beyond, giving each table a small portion of their tab (2 drinks and a dessert), while we picked up their dinner. On top of that we gave each table a $20 GC, and a RAK certificate. We made lots of people happy for trying to make other people happy. This is what it’s all about!

Tonight a guest was out with his parents to celebrate his nomination as New Hampshire’s Teacher of the Year award. He is well deserving for his dedication and commitment to changing the lives of children. I was honored to share our program and to pay forward his kindness by buying their dinner. He looks forward to coming full circle to pay it forward himself with our $25 GC

MY RAK tonight went to a couple of regulars of ours. They were gracious enough to give their table to an older couple that were behind them in the rotation. How SWEET is that!! Jen and Jon come visit our bar Crew at least once a week! Jen said we are their “Favorite” place, and they were in no rush, so why not!!! They were shocked when I gave them a GC for the next time they come in, and one to pass on!! It always feels great to make someones day!! #RAK #GNHR #COPPERDOOR #LOVE
