Regulars Who Needed a Boost

Had a couple come in tonight who are regulars at our family of restaurants. I was told they recently had a huge family scare when their daughter got in a very serious car accident, almost losing her life and that of her unborn child. She had blood transfusions and emergency surgeries to save her life. She went through an emergency cesarian section to save her baby as well. The couple shared with me that both are doing ok and are expected to be fine, however their daughter has a long road of rehab for her leg. I gave both of them a hug and told them we were taking care of their dinners. I gave them a pay it forward to give to someone else. They both gave me another hug as they left, and thanked myself and T-BONES for always being so amazing and there for their patrons.

Late Night Regular

Had a young man come in tonight who met up with a friend. They are both late night regulars who are always a blast to talk to. They have great stories about life and school and always get each other laughing. He always has the same drink so I tease him about it. Just a good down to earth person who has always been super nice to me and the staff. I took care of his dinner and dessert. I gave him a Pay it Forward and sent him out to make someone else’s day.

Two Currently Serving

Had a family come in tonight, husband and wife with parents. Starting talking and found out the young couple is visiting from Colorado and are both actively serving in the military. Talked to them about living and hunting in Colorado. Parents were super proud of both of them and could not stop talking about how it feels to be the parents of two people in the armed services. I gave them a Gift Certificate and told them to come back in and visit us again before they head back to Colorado. They are staying in Meredith, so I encouraged them to go visit T-Bones and Cactus Jack’s in Laconia and to tell them Chris says “Hello”. I gave them a Pay It Forward and explained it was their turn to make someone else’s day!

First Timers

Had a table in tonight who was visiting our family of restaurants for the first time. They just moved up from Massachusetts and decided to stay away from the city and off the highway. They saw the sign for T-BONES and gave us a try. It was the wife’s birthday and she loved the singing and cake that we did for her. I introduced myself and welcomed them to their “new favorite restaurant”. They were very pleased with the food and service. I gave them a Gift Certificate for their next visit, and a Pay it Forward to make someone else’s day. Nothing but smiles from these two as they left and said they would be back soon for sure.

All The Way From Arizona

Had a couple sitting at the bar tonight and I overheard that they were here from Arizona. I joked around for a minute about how they came all the way from Arizona to eat at T-BONES. Turns out the lady is originally from Bedford and ate here growing up. When they got to New Hampshire, she started telling him about T-BONES. They talked about how they spend summers in New Hampshire to get away from the Arizona heat. I talked to them for a little while about Sedona and how beautiful it is there. I gave them a Pay It Forward and told them to send more Arizona folks our way.

Had a couple come in today who I see quite often. Got to talk to them for a bit and joke around and really brightened each other’s days. We all traded stories for a little while and they had nothing be great things to say about T-Bones family of Restaurants, the quality of the food we serve, and the awesome staff that we always seem to find to take care of them wherever they are. I took care of their lunch and gave them a Pay It Forward gift card. They told me they were looking forward to continuing our smiles and laughter by presenting it to someone else and making their day as well.

Had a couple sitting on the Terrace today with their dog Max. Got to talking to the owners of Max a little bit, and found out Max was in fact a rescued dog from a shelter. They explained to me that they had fallen in love with him the second they saw him and saved him from a shelter. He was a very well behaved dog and enjoyed our cheese and bacon bites. They were very happy when I told them that we were buying their lunch as well as Max’s lunch. Gave them a Pay It Forward and told them to come back to enjoy the Terrace again soon.

Fellow Hunters

Had a family come in back in October who have a love for hunting like myself. We exchanged stories and talked about our plans for hunting trips during the fall. They came in tonight and recognized me immediately. First thing they asked was how the hunting trip was. I told them all about it. We had a few good laughs and joked about them going up the next trip. I gave them a Gift Certificate to use on their next visit and a Pay It Forward to give to someone else. Great Family and Lots of Fun.

Had a man come in solo tonight wearing his Air Force cover. He sat in my section so I got to spend some time talking to him and getting to know him. He told me about his tours during the Korean War and serving in the Air Force all over the world. He explained to me that it was his greatest honor to serve our country and he would do it all again if given the chance. When I bought his meal, he explained that he didn’t serve to get special treatment, and I explained it was his honor to serve our country, and my honor to buy his dinner. He thanked me again and again. I gave him a Pay It Forward and he couldn’t believe that not only did we buy his dinner, but someone else’s dinner down the road. I was very grateful and he was a cool guy to talk to.

Family Support

A family of six came in tonight,  a mother and her five “children”, after hearing some bad news about mom’s health. They were quick to note my height and we all joked and teased about how tall I am and how short they are. When I told them I’m 6’10”, mom was quick to stand up, and at 4’8″ looked tiny next to me. I picked her up and hugged her and they all got pictures. I talked to them about how much fun they were to talk to, and how amazing it is to see such wonderful support for their mom. I gave them a Gift Certificate to come back and visit us again soon, and a pay it forward to give to someone else. When leaving, every single one of them gave me a hug, mom kissed me on the cheek, and they all said I had made their day so much better than I could ever understand. They left with sore cheeks from smiling non stop.
