Riley and Her BFF Sandra

GNHR RAK Leave a Comment

Say hello to Riley (little girl) and her BFF Sandra!  Today was Sandra’s birthday and Riley wanted to bring her here for lunch.  Riley just loves Scott (our EOY) and she was able to sing/surprise her BFF with this Birthday dessert and hand delivered it.  Perfect time to do my Random Act of Kindness!  Both Sandra and Riley were very excited to hear of the news.  In the discussion – they are heading to the library to look at books and Riley is going to pass the coupon along!

First Night Back Out

GNHR RAK Leave a Comment

On Sunday I decided to use our RAK on Moe and Jeannie.  These guests have been coming to our store for a number of years.  They usually dine with us later in the evening at our bar.  Unfortunately Jeannie has not been with us for over 6 months due to severe medical issues which left her hospitalized for a number of these months, followed by physical therapy.  She finally was released to go home and tonight was the first night that she had gone out.  They were very happy to have been our RAK for the day and look forward to heading out today or tomorrow to do their part!

Congratulatory Chocolate Cake

GNHR RAK Leave a Comment

Today’s RAK at CJ’s went to Kelsey who just graduated from Mount Washington College. I presented her with a congratulatory piece of chocolate cake and bought her burrito for lunch. When I explained everything to her, her whole table was blown away at what we are doing.

All the Way from Florida

GNHR RAK Leave a Comment

Tonight at CoDo we had this pair of ladies, Janet and Colleen, join us in the lounge. Alisha, their server, told me that Janet, the lady on the right, was up here to bury her best friend today. She drove all the way up from Florida (20 hours!) and got stuck behind an 18-wheeler for a ways. That truck blew a tire that threw off debris and cracked her windshield. She was not having a very good day. Alisha and I went to the table and told them about the promotion we were doing. I bought their dinner and as Colleen was our local resident, asked her to Pay it Forward. Janet was moved to tears of appreciation.

Dining Room Regulars

In Derry today, I introduced myself to a couple of dining room regulars that I have seen in the restaurant several times, but had never really talked to. The couples names were Gus and Mary, and they were 2 very lovely people. they were done with lunch, so I gave them a gift certificate for their next visit, and they left looking forward to Paying it Forward to someone else.

My Wife is Going to be Mad She Wasn’t Invited

Today’s RAK was for one of our regulars that came in for a lunch date with his teenage son.  They looked like they were having fun and enjoying each other’s company.  Not something you see often enough, so I wanted to do something nice for them.  We bought their lunch, and once we explained it to him-he was so excited one second, and the next, he said, “My wife is going to be mad she wasn’t invited” ……….they decided to keep it their secret, so no paparazzi for them.

DONUTS!!

GNHR RAK Leave a Comment

Tonight’s RAK went to Alissa and Ahn Lo, a couple girls who work at Heavenly Donuts, and often work the mornings I pay it forward when I buy a coffee for the person behind me in the drive thru. I recognized them and told them dessert was on me and explained what we have been doing. They are very excited to pay it forward tomorrow morning by handing it out to a random person getting donuts in the morning.

Shocked and Appreciative

Today’s RAK in Hudson was the most random one for me so far.  I literally walked through the bar and remembered that I had yet to do one this afternoon, looked at a couple sitting at the bar and decided that they were it!  They looked shocked, appreciative, and impressed all at once.  They were grateful that we bought their lunch and when I was walking away they were trying to decide who to pay it forward to!
