You Jerks!! (Just Kidding)

RAK went to a woman I have seen here a lot, but never got the chance to talk to, Vassiclo. I saw her sitting in the lounge alone, looking a little sullen. Kerri came up and told me she had been stood up by her husband, and her business was going through rough times to boot. I went over to say hi, and told her we were picking up her tab. She started crying and jokingly called us jerks, and thanked us for being so kind. I later found out she is the owner of Blue House Pizza here in Salem, so I was glad we could hook up someone in the hospitality family.

From North Carolina To Bedford

This RAK went to a gentleman named Remy. I over heard him talking to another guest about him and his family moving to Bedford from North Carolina. I thought this was the perfect opportunity to introduce myself, welcome him to the neighborhood and gain another regular. He was so happy to receive his complimentary gift card and can’t wait to come back!!

High Fives All Around

Tonight my RAK went to a mother and her two sons. They sat at the end of our community table in our lounge. They were sharing a salad and some sliders. I explained to them the promotion and that I would love to buy their dinner and give them a GC towards a future visit. The mother was beyond thrilled! She couldn’t wait to Pay it Forward. She said she loves to teach her boys how much a simple act of kindness can make someones day. We gave a round of high fives before I left the table 🙂

My RAK tonight went to a couple of guys out for dinner. After Jon told me how nice they were, I decided they were a good pick. They loved the idea of Paying it Forward!

An Amazing Midwife

Tonight’s Dinner RAK at CJ’s was brought to me by one of my servers who had a woman at the table, Susan, for a midwife during her pregnancy. She raved about how well she treated her and how nice she was during her pregnancy. I bought the table’s apps and desserts and they were thrilled to Pay it Forward and that the server thought so highly of her.

Today’s RAK went to Janet who was dining by herself. I started just chatting with her and come to find out she is an animal lover just like me so we talked about our pets past and present for a bit. She was so excited when I picked up her lunch and stated that was the nicest thing anyone has ever done for her and she can’t wait to PIF.

Really? Really?? Really???

Today’s RAK went to a take out guest.  I have never given one to a take out guest, so why not today!  The poor man was skeptical at first repeating, “seriously?” and “really?” at least 6 or 7 times.  Needless to say, he was shocked and impressed!  Like so many others, he said that nobody had ever done anything like that for him before.  We definitely made his day 🙂

Table at Random

Tonight in Derry I just picked a table at random. I picked Sarah and Christie. They were like everyone else, very surprised, and very appreciative. I know that they will take the opportunity to pay it forward. I am surprised with the amount of Random Acts, that I have seen very few of the Pay it Forward certificates returned as of yet.

Tonight’s RAK went to the 2 lovely ladies … They have been coming to Salem before they were on solid food.  They were out tonight for a birthday dinner.  The girls were over the moon.

More Than Happy

CJ’s RAK for today went to a mother and her 2 grown sons, one of which is confined to a wheelchair. They come in fairly regularly and she’s a chit chatter for sure. At the end of their meal, I went over to explain the promotion and I thought she was going to kiss me when I bought their lunch. Needless to say, they are more than happy to Pay it Forward.
