Mom, Dad, and Daughter

Tonight in Derry, I just picked a table at random. It was a Mom, Dad, and daughter. I happened to be at the host desk when they came in, and I said to myself “Wow, aren’t you the luckiest people in Derry tonight.” After they had their meals, I went to the table and explained the promotion. I took up their tab, and offered them dessert. They were very happy with the promo, and were more than happy to go in to the community to Pay it Forward.

Back from Across the Globe

Today at CJ’s our RAK was near the end of lunch.  A bar semi-regular had come in, but I realized I hadn’t seen her in a while.  When I got to talking with her I found out she had just come back from Australia.  So exciting.  She was glad to be back with her grandkids though.  I picked up her tab and she was floored and grateful.

Thank You, Veterans!

Today I wanted to honor someone who was a member of our Armed Forces and saw Ted.  He is a Navy vet of WWII.  His group took part in the Pacific conflict and oversaw the second bombing of Japan.  He, Sandy and Ellen were very surprised and excited about what we were doing.  They will be back to share their story of who they chose and why.  Thank you to all of our vets!

Back from College

Today’s RAK went to a couple of kids who came in for lunch. They just got back from college, so I figured a free meal goes a long way at 19 years old. They were psyched, and couldn’t wait to Pay it Forward. They then asked for applications, too bad they go to Nebraska!

Fantastic People

Today in Derry my RAK was a no brainer. It went to Leslie, who is a regular to the lounge in Derry. She normally comes in with her husband Kevin, but he was not here today. They are fantastic people, who are very generous. They come in at Christmas time and hook up all of the servers in the lounge. They are just an awesome couple. I wound up giving Leslie a gift certificate for her next visit, and she A. thought that the promotion was fantastic, and B. was very happy to Pay it Forward in the community.

Tonight’s RAK went to a loyal bar regular, Gary! He’s always pleasant and a lot of times will bring snacks for the bartenders. I bought his meal and dessert for him and he was thrilled!

Tonight I took care of a few of our regulars down at Cactus Jack’s, Pat and Renee. They come in at least once a week all year long and are great guests. I took care of there food and explained to promotion. They were pumped to be able to have a part and Pay it Forward.

Last Guest of the Night

Tonight’s RAK went to Suzanna & Kevin. I wanted to surprise the last guest that cashed out tonight and it was them! They were very sweet, and excited that it was them that were chosen. They both couldn’t believe that they were chosen for a RAK when they were out and about so late at night!

Left with a Big Ol’ Smile

This RAK today was perfect… a gentlemen came into the bar, Jannette started a conversation about his baseball cap, that had an expensive brand watch on it.  Erin proceeded to walk over and join in on the conversation, and the man explained that he bought a watch for his father, whom never got to wear it…he passed away on the 8th of May and the same day as last year when he lost his nephew AND his daughters other grandfather passed away yesterday.   Erin & Jannette thought he was a perfect candidate for RAK with so much recent “yuckiness” and I agreed- he was genuinely touched by it and left with a big ol’ smile

Some Positive Energy

GNHR RAK Leave a Comment

Today’s RAK went to 2 couples that have lived in the area for over 10 years but never tried us out before. The Bruins’ purses was a strong indicator that they needed some positive energy coming their way. We gave them each a gift card, and they were blown away. They immediately signed up for Payback$, and left singing our praises and talking about how they were going to Pay it Forward.
