We love to Pay it Forward here at T-BONES, Cactus Jacks, and Copper Door and Random Acts of Kindness have always been part of our company's culture. In 2015 we decided to bring our love of these random acts up another notch…and have been surprising guests with free desserts, free appetizers, free meals and other cool surprises at all our locations almost daily! It does not stop there; each recipient is then given a $25 Pay It Forward dining certificate to present to a random person to keep the momentum going. We love doing this so much that we’ve dedicated an entire website to the stories and memories we’ve created and are creating everyday…Enjoy!
I bought dinner for a take out guest who came into to get her mom her favorite meal (Shrimp Alfredo) from here. She hadn’t been in for a while as her mom’s been ill and I thought it would be nice to Pay it Forward and buy her mom dinner! She was very happy about it and I’m sure her mom was too!!

Today’s CoDo RAK went to Matt and Liz, who were in having a leisurely lunch for 2. I picked them because my RAK choice was going to the first party to order a bananas foster for dessert. I took care of their lunch and told them about the promotion. After they finished dessert, I saw them looking over the collateral and overheard them discussing how they were going to Pay it Forward. Totally made their day!

Tonight’s RAK went to a couple in the dining room. I tried to pick a party when it wasn’t too busy, so when they were done with their dinner, it was the perfect time! When I approached the table, they were both on their phones, and the woman looked pretty upset. I introduced myself and explained that we were picking up their check tonight and what the RAK and Pay It Forward were all about. Her eyes filled with tears and she said “You just turned a really bad day around for us, thank you!”. Turns out that they had both been in the hospital all day as her father is very ill. They left only to grab something to eat and chose here. When I went to the table, she was having a hard time finding her e-mail with the app calendar on it. She knew before I even left the table that she was going to Pay It Forward to one of the nurses in the hospital. She didn’t know which one, but her mind was made up. Love making people’s day a little bit better!!

Our RAK went to this couple this afternoon. They are pretty regular customers that came in for lunch to “beat the heat”. As with almost every other story on here, they were floored when I told them that we were buying there lunch today, and I think perhaps even more impressed by the Pay It Forward portion.

In Derry tonight, My RAK went to a table of young ladies that sat in the lounge later in the evening. Samatha, Taylor, and Kayla. I took up their tab, and explained the Promotion. They were very happy to have been selected, and could not believe their good fortune. They were all smile. I have no doubt that they will Pay it Forward.

So tonight my Random Act of Kindness went to a couple celebrating there 34th anniversary. They came in because they had a gift card that was given to them as a Christmas present. When I told them I was buying their dinner the lady was in shock and her mouth just dropped. When they were leaving they had stopped me and thanked me again. The lady showed me a picture of her chip and it was in the shape of a heart. She let me know that she was going to put it on her Facebook page to let her friends and family know what a great thing we are doing here. 🙂

My RAK tonight was a late night guest who came in for a drink after work. She clearly worked at another restaurant and I thought it would be a great chance to Pay it Forward to one of our own. I gave her a GC and told her to come in soon and get dinner on us. She was shocked and appreciative and left with a smile 🙂

Just did a RAK for 2 girls who were having lunch on the terrace- one came down to visit the other who lives here in Bedford. They were going for mani/pedi’s afterwards so we wanted to make their day even better. They were so taken aback and one said “I feel like I’m at Disney Word!” It was another fun one to do 🙂

Today’s RAK went to the birthday girl. I watched these 4 lovely ladies celebrating a birthday and they were having such a great time. I bought the birthday girl lunch and all of them were excited for what our company is doing. Joey, do you recognize these fine ladies, come to find out it’s your mom and Aunt…too funny that I chose them!

Tonight @ CJ’s Manch I was holding out for just the right guest. I found Barb. She came in late for a takeout and was telling me how she just recently had 3 apartments she rents open back to back and has been working a ton to get them fixed which take away from being with her kids. She is recently separated so the time she gets with her kids is important. Well this was my first RAK where the guest was in tears. I picked up the tab for her takeout and she was speechless and thanked me saying I didn’t know how much this meant to her and she couldn’t wait to Pay it Forward!
