Tonight we had a group of women celebrating a birthday in the dining room. During dinner, it was quickly brought to my attention that someone in the dining room was choking so I ran over as fast as I could. When I arrived, a gentleman from another table was trying the heimlich to no avail. I took over and was successful at dislodging whatever was stuck. The ladies were very relieved and it turns out, the birthday girl was the one choking. As things calmed down, she was very thankful and grateful but her dining experience was ruined for the night as she didn’t want to eat anymore and was slightly embarrassed. I thought this would be a great opportunity to buy her dinner and get her a GC to come back and have a more pleasurable time from start to finish. When I gave her the Pay It Forward certificate, she immediately looked at the guy who initially tried to help her out and I knew she had already found someone deserving.
Valentine’s Date
Tonight I RAK’d a Mother and Daughter that were 1st time visitors on a recommendation from a guy they met at the mall. I chatted with them when they came in and we put them on the wait in the lounge and the dining room. Once seated in the lounge, their server told me it was their 1st visit and they were very impressed with our menu and atmosphere. I decided this would be a good Valentine’s RAK. I ran over to CVS and bought 2 individual roses and a heart box of Lindt Chocolate. I added a GC for their next visit as well. They were absolutely floored and I know they are going to come to CJ’s before anywhere else now!
Childhood Reunion
This afternoon at CJ’s I was able to RAK some first time guests that were raving about how delicious EVERYTHING was and how they loved it here already. Low and behold, when I went over to the table, the woman was one of my mother’s good friends from when I was a little kid. We chatted for awhile and they were blown away that I gave them a GC to come back. I think they might turn into regulars real quick.
CJ at CJ’s!
Yesterday I was able to RAK a kid named CJ at CJ’s… He was in with his sisters and his grandfather and they asked about our CJ’s shirts. I saw this as a great opportunity to hook him up with a shirt and GC to take his family out the next time. When I was explaining the whole promotion, all the tables around seemed to stop and listen in. I could tell it had a big impact and the kids at the table were all smiles from ear to ear.
