Shocked!

Tonight’s RAK went to a couple that I have never met before.  They seemed very nice, so I decided to pick them.  They were shocked!  The look on people’s face when you tell them that you just bought them dinner for no other reason than to do something nice for them is priceless.  They were more than willing to PIF! – Tricia St. George

Fellow Food Folk

Tonight’s RAK here at CJ’s went to a regular takeout guest Dave.  Him and his girlfriend(?) run the Nadeau’s across the street.  They’ll typically come in for a couple drinks and bring home food.  We’ve even started carrying Ciroc coconut for them.  I explained the promotion to him and it completely blew him away.  He was very excited to hand out the certificate to someone he doesn’t know and couldn’t believe we were taking care of his dinner for the night. – Amy Czyzewski

Such a Sweet Woman

My RAK went to one of our regulars at the bar….Terry.  She is such a sweet woman, and I have seen here three of my last five shifts.  Needless to say, she is a huge T-BONES fan.  When I explained to her that we bought her lobster roll today, she literally turned red, and she seemed confused.  When I was able to explain the PIF, she “got” it.  Apparently, she was a manager for another restaurant chain, and she said that she is not the least bit surprised by the success of a company that will do something so amazing!   It sparked a conversation with three guests next to her, and well, they love us. – Tricia St. George

54th Wedding Anniversary

This afternoon our RAK went to a couple celebrating their 54th wedding anniversary. What wonderful people they were. They grew up in Ireland together and were good friends, until they decided they wanted to be more than friends. They come here often and also frequent Derry, and they said in all the years they’ve been coming here, they have NEVER run into a staff member that was unpleasant. They had nothing but wonderful things to say about our Pay it Forward promotion, and they couldn’t wait to make the day of a stranger. – Mike Columbare

My RAK was Marianna, a loyal regular who always comes to Copper Door for a light snack after her usual 14 hour shift. She was very grateful for our random act of kindness and looking forward to performing her own RAK! – Nicole Ward

Dinner Night with Mom

Tonight I got the pleasure of delivering a Random Act of Kindness to three amazing guests. Every week Carol Anne and her sister Loretta pick up their mom Irene and bring her out to dinner at T-BONES. It is such a kind and loving gesture to always make that time for family in a world that always seems to busy. They were so surprised and grateful to have their meal paid for. Before they left Loretta came up to me and said she was so excited to Pay it Forward to a complete stranger and said she would get a picture to share. – Denis Brunelle

You Jerks!! (Just Kidding)

RAK went to a woman I have seen here a lot, but never got the chance to talk to, Vassiclo. I saw her sitting in the lounge alone, looking a little sullen. Kerri came up and told me she had been stood up by her husband, and her business was going through rough times to boot. I went over to say hi, and told her we were picking up her tab. She started crying and jokingly called us jerks, and thanked us for being so kind. I later found out she is the owner of Blue House Pizza here in Salem, so I was glad we could hook up someone in the hospitality family. – Mike Columbare

From North Carolina To Bedford

This RAK went to a gentleman named Remy. I over heard him talking to another guest about him and his family moving to Bedford from North Carolina. I thought this was the perfect opportunity to introduce myself, welcome him to the neighborhood and gain another regular. He was so happy to receive his complimentary gift card and can’t wait to come back!! – Nicole Ward

High Fives All Around

Tonight my RAK went to a mother and her two sons. They sat at the end of our community table in our lounge. They were sharing a salad and some sliders. I explained to them the promotion and that I would love to buy their dinner and give them a GC towards a future visit. The mother was beyond thrilled! She couldn’t wait to Pay it Forward. She said she loves to teach her boys how much a simple act of kindness can make someones day. We gave a round of high fives before I left the table 🙂 – Marissa Devoe
