May I Marry Your Daughter?
We had an event at the Copper Door that happens so infrequently that we all felt we had to do a bonus RAK for the day. To the right is Jason, the left, John. Jason took John out for dinner tonight for the sole purpose of asking John if he could have his daughter’s hand in marriage. How cool! John had agreed and gave his blessing. His exact quote when I was talking with them was “I love this guy!” I hooked Jason up with a $100 GC and mentioned that we were a great place to pop the question, now you have additional incentive to come back. John took the Pay it Forward certificate with a big grin and said it would be his pleasure to pass it along. – Matthew Phipps
Two Big Hugs
I got 2 big hugs tonight! A party was in and said they’ve been in at least 20 times and never bothered to sign up for the Copper Club until Michal “made them” tonight. Once they realized what a good deal it was they were bumming they lost all those point…so right then and there I told them they were my perfect RAK- they were beside themselves with shock and happiness (insert 2 big hugs). 34th Wedding Anniversary
Today’s luncheon RAK at good ole CoDo went to Linda and Bill who joined us for lunch to celebrate their 34th wedding anniversary. They came in a little later in the day to avoid the lunch and dinner rushes and enjoy a nice meal. When I picked up their tab and explained why, they were so appreciative and guaranteed me they would pay it forward. – Matthew Phipps
Our Mail Lady
Tonight, after not having anything stand out for the dinner push, I decided to give CJ’s RAK to one of our mail ladies. She’s super nice, and comes in here all the time bringing different friends with her. She was with a friend I didn’t recognize tonight, so I thought it would be fun to give our mail lady another reason to love us so much, and show her friend what we’re about. They were both blown away. She was super excited to give away the certificate, “because as you know” she sees so many people every day and delivers all along South Willow. – Amy Czyzewski
It’s On Us
Chuck and his wife were today’s RAK at CJ’s. He’s a bar regular from way back that loves his Hand Grenade Margaritas. They were very surprised when I told them their lunch was on me today and seem very excited to Pay it Forward soon! – Josh Bruno
Speedy Lunch
Today I decided to RAK Mike and John. They are regular customers in our lounge. They were in a hurry and needed their lunch right away. The kitchen got the food up in no time and when I delivered the meal – just kept on going by taking care of their lunch. They were both surprised and very happy they were chosen. Soon-To-Be Mother-In-Laws
Today at Copper Door, my RAK went to Charlotte and Sue, two soon-to-be mother-in-laws! Their children are getting married in July and I wanted to congratulate them! Although I didn’t get to them in time to comp something from their bill, they each received a gift card for their next visit. They will be back after the wedding festivities are celebrated!! – Nicole Ward
Long-Time Regulars
Lunch RAK at CJ’s today went to 2 long-time regulars, Stephen and Victor, (so long that I used to wait on them) that are in the real estate business and continually bring in clients for lunch meetings. They are strong promoters of CJ’s and I figured it would be a great way to say thank you for many years of patronage. They were thrilled about the promo and have vowed to find a non-regular that they know (they’ve brought in many that are now regulars) to Pay it Forward to. – Josh Bruno
A Treat for Mom
Today in Derry, my RAK was a no brainer. It went to a regular guest named Michelle. Michelle’s mother is in a nursing home nearby, and she comes in about once a week to pick up a take out from T-BONES to take to her mother. Her mother loves the take out she receives from T-BONES, as it is a major treat compared to her normal every day fare. I am sure that Michelle will Pay it Forward. She was verrry thankful, and gave me a big hug. 🙂 – Andre Morris
