Many Hands Make Less Work!

A few days late posting this – but still awesome.  We had some very regular guests in for lunch last week.  One of them has Parkinson’s and on her way out one of her legs froze up and she couldn’t move right at the entryway.  In addition to the guests she had dined with were Arlene and John Maloney.  These guests were just arriving and didn’t even hesitate to assist.  They both comforted the guest as we were able to get her to sit into an office chair (on wheels) and give her a ride down the accessible ramp to the car.  I stopped by the table as they were just finishing their meals to thank them for the help and to take care of their meals.  They were thrilled and will be back to let me know how they “Paid it Forward”!

Double the Celebration!

Tonight we had a couple (and two of their sons) in for dinner this evening.  I was informed that not only were they celebrating their anniversary (19 years) but one of them has just opened up a new pet store here in Hudson!  We made them our RAK for the night and took care of their tab.  The husband was totally blown away.  The kids are looking forward to paying it forward real soon!

Lifting their “Spirits”!

Rachel and Kyle should have been in Florida this weekend for a getaway.  Unfortunately due to some delays with their Airlines – they were unable to get where they were supposed to go this weekend!   They came in for dinner tonight – just as I was leaving.  I thought what better way to lift them up then to take care of them tonight.  I only stopped for a brief moment to say dinner was on us!  Each were amazed by the gesture – but it’s our little way of recognizing others.  The service they got from (un-named airline 😉 ) can not be matched with what we give at GNHR.  Enjoy your night Rachel and Kyle – you’ll get to Florida again soon!

Celebrating “Debt Free”!

Today one of our VERY regular guests Kathi came in for lunch.  She usually dines with us alone – sometimes with her daughter and son-in-law.  Today when she came in she was very excited to share that she was debt free!   She was celebrating with a filet – we picked up her tab.  She was excited beyond belief.  She will be heading out this afternoon to spread her good cheer at Walmart!

Bedford T-BONES Regulars!

Today before I left I wanted to just pick a random table to RAK.  I actually asked some regulars to pick a table number.  They picked a number and went over.  I met Pauline and Paul and come to find out they are frequent visitors of our Bedford T-BONES.  I found out they enjoy ALL of our stores and Paul said he wanted to come to Hudson.  I thanked them for stopping by and picked up their tab.  They were both thrilled and will be seeking out a random person to Pay It Forward in the Manchester area!   Sorry Bedford, they may be Hudson regulars now! 🙂

Taking Care of our Friends!

Had a young couple, Eric and Marisella, out with their son.  Unfortunately there was another table talking rather loud about our current political escapades.  Marisella was upset about some of the comments and asked to move to a table so they didn’t have to hear them anymore.  Upon learning of this I went over and took care of their tab.  Marisella was brought to tears and thanked us for our kindness.  They will be back and said that this would not deter them from recommending our restaurant!

Tonight there was a girl, Gabby out with her mom, Jamie having dinner.  Gabby (4 y/o) had a Tom Brady shirt on.  I stopped to chat with her for a moment and she was as cute as could be.  Gabby has “several” TB shirts in her closet and has worn one every day this week. I presenter her the Pay It Forward and explained what it is.  She said “I am going to find someone when we go shopping”.  She is excited for the game – as am I!

A Little “Pick Me Up”!

Pamela is a somewhat regular who comes in from time to time just to get some broth only French Onion Soup.  She is such a frail woman who has been going thru some medical issues for quite some time.  Treatments, medications, etc. has really taken a toll on her physically and mentally (just wants to give up).  We took care of her takeout today (with my host Jamie) which immediately brought tears from her.  She couldn’t thank us enough and gave hugs before leaving.  This simple gesture made her day a little brighter.

Gone But Not Forgotten!

On Saturday night Jack was in for dinner – like he often was on Saturday nights with his wife.  However this time he was alone.  His wife Kathleen had passed away a couple of weeks ago and this was the first time he had come out to T-BONES to have his “greens” (Broccoli and Asparagus).  I visited with him for a few and took care of his meal!  Kathleen and Jack will always be part of the T-BONES family.  Jack was overcome with emotions and promised to come in every week – just to keep up with his “greens”. We will miss her greatly.

63 Years and Still Going Strong!

Today we had Doris and Jay in for lunch celebrating 63 years of marriage!  I learned that they lived in Lawrence MA until 1993 before moving to Hudson and building a new home.  They were very nice and were happy to hear that I had taken care of their tab.  Jay is quite the ladies man – couldn’t stop talking about finding some ladies, all the while Doris hitting him on his leg. It reminded me of my parents. They look forward to finding someone at random to Pay It Forward to.
