No More Braces, YAY!

GNHRRAK Leave a Comment

This is Miss Hanna! She was so thrilled to show off her pearly whites after having braces for three long years, she couldn’t stop smiling! Hanna was even more thrilled to find out her lunch was complimentary, plus I sent her on her way with our Pink Lemonade cupcake. She is looking forward to completing her first RAK 🙂 – Nicole Ward

Nice to Meet You, Bob

GNHRRAK Leave a Comment

In Derry today, I introduced myself to Bob. Although Bob is a regular guest in Derry, I never knew his name, and we had never been formerly introduced. Normally Bob come in with a couple of other people, but today he came in by himself later in the afternoon than he regularly dines. I picked him for my random act of kindness, and he was very appreciative. I also had 2 regulars that come to Derry, but are more regular in Salem come to Derry this afternoon. They were recipients of the random act in Salem yesterday. They dined on the Patio, and while I was out watering we had a conversation about the Random Acts, and they were very happy to go shopping at the Mall last night and Pay it Forward. – Andre Morris

Eager to Assist

Tonight’s RAK in Salem went to Brian, a 8 year old boy who jumped up to help a table of older women by opening the door for them. I bought him a brownie sundae, and when I gave him the RAK certificate he could not wait to give it to his teacher tomorrow because she has been helping him “do math”. The family left before I could grab my phone, but he had said they would be back next week so I hope to get a photo then. – Mike Columbare

Celebrating One Year

Tonight we had a couple, Simone and Joe (Really Robert – but everyone calls him Joe), in celebrating a milestone.  Joe has cancer and has battling it for a couple of years now since his diagnosis.  A little over a year ago in February – Joe experience seizures, again in March and his last one, May 5th of 2014.  Since then he has been good.  They came out tonight to celebrate 1 year seizure free.  They were both thrilled I was picking up their appetizer.  We ended up chatting for about 15 minutes and they are both THRILLED to be heading out in the next couple of days to pay it forward. Unfortunately they didn’t want their pictures taken but they are going to tell me who they picked out and why!  Looking forward to it! – Denis Brunelle

Trio on the Terrace

GNHRRAK Leave a Comment

My RAK today was given to this fine looking trio joining us for a birthday lunch on the terrace. To the left is Pete (it was his birthday), Kathy, and William. We ended up talking a little about the book Pay It Forward by Catherine Rand Hyde. Turns out all 3 of them work for NH1 News. I made all their lunches a little sweeter by taking care of dessert for the table. – Matthew Phipps

The Shirts Off My Back

Cinco de Mayo at CJ’s… Today’s RAK went to a couple of Tuesday regulars, Dawn and Irene, who come in to see Marci almost weekly. Before I went over to deliver my random act, I put on 2 of our Cinco de Mayo shirts. After explaining that I was buying their lunch in hopes that they would take the certificate and pay it forward, I added a little bonus by giving them the shirts off my back… I wanted to a little above and beyond on Cinco and we didn’t disappoint (they even asked for my dress shirt!). It was great to see them so excited by a small gesture and to pay it forward to someone else. – Josh Bruno

You’re Never Alone Here

Laconia’s RAK tonight went out to an elderly gentleman who came out to dinner alone. He sat in the lounge with Nikki and she came down to find me saying that she thinks he really should be our RAK this evening. I took care of his dinner and explained the promotion that we were running. He was very grateful and excited to give away the G.C. – Lori Haney

GNHRRAK Leave a Comment

Todays RAK went to the two Aunts, they have been coming in since we opened and are 2 of the sweetest people that you will every meet. They were absolutely floored and surprised that we did this but they are more excited to Pay it Forward.I’m sure that there are a lot of people that work for the company that will recognize them. I did buy them lunch. – Rebecca Lemay
