Melanie and her family frequent our restaurant regularly for takeout – sometimes 3 times a week! Tonight was no different. Decided to pick up the tab for them and thanked them for being such loyal guests.
Valentine’s Day Special
Tonight I noticed a couple that come in often without their children They were celebrating Valentine’s Day together, and I thought it would make there night if they didn’t have to pay for dinner. They were very thankful and cant wait to pay it forward.
Cravings
My RAK on Thursday was actually given out by one of our kitchen managers, Tony Palevicius. He loves to participate in random acts and knew the perfect couple to hook up. We bought dinner for a couple who Tony knew had just had some health scares and knew how important that it was to see them out and about. They were very thankful and happy to pay it forward!
Running on T-BONES
My RAK last night went to a woman named Brenda who was just getting out of a long days work at Dunkin’ Donuts down the street. It was her husbands birthday and his request for dinner was his favorite, Country Fried Chicken from T-BONES! Since it was her husband’s birthday I thought it was the perfect time to pay it forward. When she came in I let her know that dinner was on us! She was entirely grateful and showed it with a few hugs and a bunch ‘Thank You’s!’. She explained to me how she was trying her best to work all day and try to make her husbands birthday the best she could with the little time she had left 🙂 Just a sweet, sweet woman and she is very happy to pay it forward!
Voters!
Tonight we had a couple that had just come in from voting in today’s elections. They commented to their server that they waited over an hour to vote. I was able to deliver the food – and surprised them by picking up their tab. They were both thrilled. Thanked me and look forward to PIF in the next few days.
Crazy Kids!
My RAK this evening went to a very nice couple that were sat next to a very rambunctious table of young girls. I stopped by to see how their meals were, etc. They were very nice and explained how luckily they were parents, and now grandparents, so the rowdy group didn’t bother their meal a bit. Since they were so sweet, I hooked them up with a gift certificate for next time they head on over for a nice, quiet dinner for two 🙂 They were very excited to be able to pay it forward!
Losing 13 Teeth & Wanting T-BONES
My RAK tonight went to a gentleman who had actually just lost 13 teeth a few days prior to his visit tonight. His girlfriend was very upfront with Erika (their server) about what had happened to him. Looking at him you would never have known that he had just had 13 teeth pulled, but since there was a chance he may not eat all of his dinner, she wanted Erika to know ahead of time to save the questioning of whether he liked his meal or not. Erika proceeded to find out that he was ordering Chili because all he had been craving was meat. In fact, all that he had eaten in the past few days was Chili from our restaurant. I hooked him up with a gift certificate for when he can finally enjoy a nice steak here at T-BONES Hudson. They were entirely grateful, and could not wait to Pay It Forward!
T-BONE’s Tuesday
Tonight I bought dessert for a family that comes in every Tuesday. They started coming in every week when the military discount started and they call it T-BONE’s Tuesday. They said I made it a special Tuesday and can’t wait to pay it forward.
New customers
The other night I had a family of 5 come in from Maine. They had told a server that they would like to speak to a manager and I immediately thought something was wrong. When I got to the table they told me how happy they were to be here. They said everything was perfect from the service to the atmosphere. They let me know they were visiting from Maine and it was the first time they had ever been to a T-bones. I offered them all dessert for there visit and they couldn’t have been happier. When they were leaving they let me know that they would be back soon.
Free Desserts
Tonight I had a couple of my high school classmates come in with their families. Rob Kime has a daughter who he teases just like I do at home. To have some fun I bought the (3) desserts that the kids were having and gave the PIF to his oldest daughter. She was thrilled and the parents loved the idea of what we are doing.
